What Data We Collect
- Account data: Name, email address, password (hashed), user type (candidate/employer).
- Profile data (candidates): CV file, parsed CV data (job titles, skills, experience, salary expectations, location preferences).
- Profile data (employers): Company name, website, industry, size, description, logo.
- Usage data: Tool usage (CV reviews, salary benchmarks), match interactions (views, saves, applications).
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information (via Plausible analytics — no cookies, no personal tracking).
Why We Process Your Data
- To match you with jobs (consent): We process your CV and profile data to find relevant job matches.
- To provide AI tools (legitimate interest): CV review and salary benchmarking tools process the data you submit.
- To send notifications (consent): Match alerts and account updates are sent based on your preferences.
- To improve our service (legitimate interest): Anonymised usage data helps us improve matching accuracy.
Who We Share Data With
We use the following data processors:
- Supabase (database and file storage) — EU-hosted
- Anthropic (Claude AI — for CV parsing, matching, and review) — data processed per their API terms, not used for training
- Vercel (website hosting) — global CDN
- Resend (transactional email) — EU-hosted
We never sell your data. We never share your personal information with advertisers.
How Long We Keep Your Data
- Active accounts: retained while your account is active.
- Inactive accounts (12+ months): we'll email you to re-confirm. If no response, your data is deleted.
- CV files: deleted when you upload a new CV or delete your account.
- Tool usage logs: anonymised after 180 days.
- Consent records: retained for 3 years (legal requirement).
Your Rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access your data — view all your data in your dashboard.
- Rectify your data — edit your profile at any time.
- Erase your data — delete your account and all personal data.
- Port your data — export your profile and matches as JSON.
- Withdraw consent — update your preferences or delete your account.
- Complain — contact the ICO at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we handle your data.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies. Authentication cookies are essential for keeping you logged in. We use Plausible for analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track individuals. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
